With Sympathy - Bonniewell Star

April 30, 1983 - January 6, 2012

Bonniewell Star - a.k.a. "Bonnie" - was born on April 30, 1983 and was humanely euthanized on January 6, 2012. She was laid to rest at Tuckaway Farm Quarter Horses in Saukville, Wisconsin, which is owned by Robert and Jennifer Callies.

Jennifer recalls many fond memories of Bonnie while the two of them competed on The Wisconsin Quarter Horses Circuit and at many Badger shows.

1990 Cap Gun Circuit Champion in Equitation

1990 WQHA Reserve Champion in Novice Amateur Equitation

1990 WQHA State Show All Around Champion

1990 WQHA Reserve Champion in Novice Amateur Showmanship

1991 Paper Valley Circuit Champion

1991 Cap Gun Circuit Champion in Showmanship

1991 WQHA Reserve Champion in Novice Amateur Equitation

1991 WQHA High Point Champion in Novice Amateur Showmanship

1991 Amateur Certificate of Merit in Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle and Huntseat Equitation

1993 Amateur Register of Merit in Showmanship

Bonnie retired from showing in 1994, and she was enjoyed by both Jennifer and Robert as a trail horse on their property. Her quality of life slowly deteriorated due to incurable lameness in her front legs and feet but continued her life as a pasture companion to her friend "Major".

Bonnie was a 'once in a lifetime' friend to Jennifer and Robert and she will be sadly missed.
